What Kalbi Is

Kalbi is a private app for couples. It is designed for shared moments, short notes, photo moments, visit countdowns, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and relationship rituals between two linked partners.

Kalbi has no public feed, no public discovery, no followers, and no strangers. Content in a linked couple space is meant for the two linked partners.

Information We Collect

When you use Kalbi, we may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication provider details, profile photo, and linked partner status.

Depending on the features you choose to use, Kalbi may store shared content such as photos, captions, love notes, pings, media lists, trips, budgets, dates, status text, next-visit countdowns, and approximate location-derived distance.

Kalbi may collect device and app information needed to operate the service, such as device identifiers used for push notifications, crash or diagnostic information, and app version or platform information.

If you purchase Kalbi Pro, purchase status, product identifier, entitlement status, renewal state, and related App Store or RevenueCat subscription information may be used to unlock access. Kalbi does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Permissions and Device Access

Location permission is optional and is used only while the app is open to show distance and together/apart status with your linked partner.

Camera and photo library permissions are optional and are used only when you choose to take or share a photo moment.

Notification permission is optional and is used to deliver partner pings, photo moment alerts, status updates, reminders, and other relationship notifications you enable.

Health permission is optional and, when enabled, reads step count only so daily activity can be shown in the couple space. Kalbi does not request clinical health records and does not write Health data.

Widget-related data may be cached locally on your device through the iOS App Group container so Kalbi can show countdowns, latest notes, and moments on Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

How We Use Information

We use your information to provide the app, sync shared couple data, authenticate accounts, process partner linking, deliver notifications, show relationship timelines, power widgets, unlock purchases, and maintain account safety.

We do not sell your personal information. Kalbi is built around private two-person spaces, not advertising feeds or public social discovery.

Sharing

Content inside a linked couple space is visible to the two linked partners. Do not add content you do not want your partner to see.

We may use trusted infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, maps, subscription management, and App Store purchase handling. These providers process information only as needed to operate the service.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Kalbi, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

You may request account deletion or data deletion by contacting us. Some deleted content may remain briefly in backups or logs before routine removal.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect Kalbi data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong account and protect your device.
